Established in 2009 as Warehouse 508 now known as WAREHOUSE 505, Albuquerque's Downtown Youth Art and Entertainment Center allows for youth immersion in the Creative Arts. Warehouse 505 is a venue for creativity, a lab, an incubator of possibilities, and a safe, structured environment where young people have the opportunity to explore the world through the arts. Warehouse 505 provides urban arts and extreme sports programs for young people ages 13-20. Our mission is to offer youth a safe space for creative expression. We work for that moment when a young person is inspired by their personal potential.

DJ 101 : FLO FADER
Local DJ extraordinaire will take students on a musical journey through the history and art of DJing. Students will learn crucial lessons on how to hook up and operate basic DJ equipment from past and present. Learn and perform turntable maneuvers, DJ routines, important crowd response techniques, and preparation for club gigs.
DJ 201 : FLO FADER
DJ 201 is a class that is available for students that have taken DJ 101 at least twice. DJ 201 is structured to learn advanced techniques while DJing and how to perform and read a crowd when performing. The instructor will teach students how to put together different DJ sets outside their comfort zone to best meet a client's needs. In the class, students will learn the business around DJing professionally and what it means to be a professional DJ. The class will also provide opportunities to perform in front of crowds.


LIVE SOUND: Lee Sillery
Live sound gives students the opportunity to learn all the knowledge and skills necessary to do live sound for small and medium sized stages as well as speaking engagements. Live sound engineering is a great introduction into the world of Audio Engineering. With two semesters of this program, students will have a well rounded experience with working with musicians and how to set up small sound systems and basic live mixing techniques.

Digital Drawing
Learn the fundamentals of digital drawing through learning the ins and outs of Procreate on iPad. James Black will show the skills necessary to create your designs using iPencils and Procreate. The Warehouse will have the necessary equipment for this program. Screen Printing designs at the end of our semester.

ROCK STAR: Lee Sillery
Start working together in a jam band environment with Lee Sillery from Constant Harmony. You will link up with other musicians from different levels to start playing together. Lee will help you learn any instrument you need to learn in order to start playing together. Hope you join us in learning how to play together.
Sewing Basics: Angelina Skonieczka
Learn to sew and create fashion pieces for our self and community. Angelina will teach you the basics in order for you to get start on any project you may have in mind to create. We will have that you need for class. Come and join us.

Mural Arts: Jeremy "JERMZ" Johnson
Mural Arts is back. This class will teach you the basics on how to paint a mural from sketch to wall and all in between. How to use a spray can and brush. Also learn the some history about where Graff Writing came from as well as modern mural movements across the world and even here in Albuquerque. Join us.


YOUTH CREATIVE CREW (YCC)
The YCC is a collective of artists, xtreme athletes, and community arts advocates who are the youth governing body of NMX Sports and Warehouse 508, providing a youth perspective on programming, events and community outreach.
The YCC meets weekly and is open to young people ages 13-20. Join us any TUESDAY at 5pm. Email Info@warehouse508.org for more information

Poetry: Burque Revolt Poetry Slam
A class that encourages freedom of expression using the medium of slam poetry! In this club we will learn to write creatively about ourselves, our identities, our histories, our dreams and the world around us! We will also learn about slam poetry and the history it has in our state and city! Students will get the chance to work with national and local poets from around the country and later be asked to share their own work in a poetry slam the same week!
